“…From this study, it is observed that the MPB region is situated at x~0.055-0.080. Unlike the results reported for other authors for BNBT thin films (17)(18)(19), the MPB region here determined for films is located close to that reported for bulk ceramics and also to that obtained here for the corresponding powders (15,23). The Rietveld refinement carried out on the experimental patterns of Figure 4 and 5 reveals the volume phase in the films of the rhombohedral and tetragonal structures.…”

“…However, properties of the thin film differ from those of bulk ceramics, which is mainly associated to small grain size, development of microstrains or variations in the compositional depth profile. This can produce a shift in the MPB region in the film compared with bulk ceramics and a decrease in the properties (17)(18)(19).…”

“…By using the pulsed laser deposition (PLD), (1 1 0) epitaxial BNT thin film was grown on the (1 1 0)Pt/(1 1 0)SrTiO 3 substrate and the remnant ferroelectric polarization increased to ∼7-14 C/cm 2 with low dielectric loss of ∼6-7% [10]. Using the same method, Dragoi et al prepared 0.92(Bi 0.5 Na 0.5 )TiO 3 -0.08BaTiO 3 thin film with enhanced remnant polarization of 22 C/cm 2 , however, deformed ferroelectric loop was observed which may be due to high leakage current [11]. In order to further improve the electrical properties, single crystal substrates were adopted due to their high crystal lattice similarity with the piezoelectric films.…”

“…In previous works, progresses have been made in the growth and characterization of the pure BNT and BNT-based thin films [7][8][9][10][11][12]. Cernea substrates with a dielectric constant of 210 and little remnant polarization of 2.5 C/cm 2 by using a sol-gel/spin-coating process [7].…”

“…Lin et al [13] employed sol-gel method and the largest tunability up to 65% at 400 kV/cm at 100 kHz was achieved in BZT-0.55BCT film. Among these techniques, PLD has been widely used in growth of many ferroelectric materials due to its good stoichiometric control [17][18][19]. However, the reports to systematically study the PLD-deposited compositional BZT-xBCT system are very limited.…”
