Le manuel scolaire : état des lieux et perspectives de la recherche en Algérie

Abstract

: The school textbook occupies a central position in the educational process because of its scientific and ideological character. International research establishes it as a separate field of investigation and recognizes its power over educational actors. In the Algerian context, the lack of specialists and the priority given to their availability have resulted in an inconsistent literature. This observation challenges us and leads us to question the state of research on textbooks and the directions of research in which it is developing. Based on our experience in the field, we started from the hypothesis that there is a break between the work carried out and the Algerian school experience. Our objective is to contribute to the reflection around Algerian textbooks and to call for them to be used periodically through university research at the level of design, editing and reception.
 Résumé : Le manuel scolaire occupe une position centrale dans le processus éducatif de par son caractère scientifique et idéologique. La recherche internationale l’érige en un domaine d’investigation à part et lui reconnait un pouvoir sur les acteurs éducatifs. Dans le contexte algérien, le manque de spécialistes et la priorité accordée à sa disponibilité ont eu pour effet une littérature peu consistante. Ce constat nous interpelle et nous amène à nous interroger sur l’état de la recherche sur le manuel scolaire et sur les directions de recherche dans lesquelles elle se développe. A l’appui de notre expérience sur le terrain, nous sommes parti de l’hypothèse qu’il y a rupture entre les travaux effectués et le vécu scolaire algérien. Notre objectif est de contribuer à la réflexion autour des manuels scolaires algériens et d’appeler à les saisir périodiquement par la recherche universitaire au niveau de la conception, de l’édition et de la réception.
