Le cheveu ; l'exemple de l'étude d'une série d'échantillons du musée des Confluences

Abstract

Based from the study of a collection of human hairs gathered by scientific research and explorers, the questions of the origin of these samples, their history, the link to the individuals, their possible use or public exhibits and scientific studies that could be done, have successively been tackled. The hair has a strong symbolic meaning which give its special importance among the human elements. Finally, the question was posed on the conservation and conditionning of these samples and their contents.
