“…Compared with other biodegradable polyesters ( Table 3 ), PBATGA copolyesters have the best toughness and higher strength than linear low−density polyethylene (LLDPE) [ 35 ], low−density polyethylene (LDPE) [ 36 ], PBSA, PBAF, PEAT and poly(propylene carbonate) (PPC). In summary, PBATGA copolyesters have a lower modulus.…”

“…The observed improvement in neutron shielding by commercial B 4 C-doped PVA nanocomposite fibers is not as high as previously reported 1 wt% B 4 C composites. [16,17,63] Because large boron carbide particles hinder the development of nanofibers, a continuous fiber network could not be created by using the B 4 C(C)/PVA solution, resulting in restricted neuron shielding performance. On the other hand, neutron flux on the nanocomposite fibers fabricated using sol-gel synthesized nano-sized boron carbide particles was measured as 1533 cps, and a corresponding neutron shielding capability of 7.4 ± 1.8% with 0.9274 ± 0.011 permeability (Figure 10A,B) was obtained.…”

“…In this study, an attempt was made to synthesize SnO 2 and BaSO 4 nanoparticles in the presence of aqueous extract of Neem tree fruits ( Azadirachta indica ) and then to investigate the protective effect of LDPE-based composites and nanocomposites against X-rays. LDPE polymer was considered due to its low price, flexibility and availability [ 44 , 45 ].…”
