“…In each measurement, the sample was tilted at nine ψ angles and the residual stress was calculated from the obtained diffraction peaks based on the classic "sin 2 ψ" method in the Noyan's book [16] with an xray elastic constant of 5.22 × 10 −6 MPa −1 . Mukherji et al [17] used high resolution x-ray and synchrotron diffraction to determine the lattice misfit between the γ′ precipitates and γ matrix. The results suggested that small broadening can be expected from the diffraction peak of the γ matrix due to the presence of the fine and coherent γ′ precipitates, but it does not necessarily influence the peak position significantly.…”

“…EDS analysis, on the other hand, shows that phase concentrates of nickel and niobium phase intersect at the same points, which indicates the formation of meta-stable BCT c 00 (Ni 3 Nb) phase in the matrix. Mukherji et al [19] reported that FCC c 0 Ni 3 (Al,Ti) and BCT c 00 (Ni 3 Nb) phases formed in aged IN 706 superalloys. However, in the present study only BCT c 00 (Ni 3 Nb) phase was observed.…”
