Vocational schools are the backbone of Germany's dual training system and it is expected that students in such schools have successfully mastered their first career-related decision. However, previous research suggests that attending a vocational school is often based more on practical considerations than on an informed careerdecision making process. Therefore, questions arise about the state of vocational students' career competences and how to support their development on an individual basis. This study aims to shed light on the developmental patterns of students' career competences at German vocational schools. Latent profile analysis of career competence was therefore conducted with data from vocational school students (N = 453). Data collection took place in 2017 in four vocational schools in North Rhine-Westphalia. The participants were on average 18.20 years old (SD = 1.65), and 48% of them were female. Using a standardized questionnaire, they self-assessed 12 facets of their career competences. The results showed 3 profile groups that followed a similar pattern regarding the 12 career competence facets. They mainly differed in their overall career competence level: low developed, intermediate and advanced. Furthermore, a fourth profile that diverged from the three other profiles in terms of career pattern was identified: highly concerned/little-stress-resistant. A multivariate analysis of variance revealed statistical differences among these profile groups in the 12 career competence facets. Multinomial logistic regressions showed significant effects from gender and concrete career aspirations on profile affiliation. Limitations of the study, practical implications, and issues for future research are discussed.

To improve and maintain the performance of the marketing department employee, the company should improve the capacity and capability of the employees. This research aimed to investigate the influence of interpersonal communication and work motivation on employee performance marketing. This research uses a quantitative approach method with path analysis method. This study uses survey technique with the primary data collection tool in the form of a questionnaire. The study was conducted at the Jabar Banten Shariah Bank Bandung branch, with respondents as many as 33 people. The test results show that partial and or simultaneously, interpersonal communication and work motivation have significant positive effect on employee performance. The results show that the value of the determinant obtained for 0808, this means that the variables of interpersonal communication and motivation can explain the employees’ performance by 80.0 %, while 19.2 % is influenced by other variables that are not included in the model. Epsilon factors are leadership, organizational culture, facilities and infrastructure in the works, and others. The result show that performance of the marketing department can be improved through the development of interpersonal communication capacity of employees and strengthening of motivation to work.

A systematic review of temporal person‐environment fit research: Trends, developments, obstacles, and opportunities for future research

In this systematic review, we present a comprehensive overview of the temporal person environment (PE) fit literature. To this end, we organize and integrate extant temporal fit research and discuss research trends and developments in the temporal domain. Our analysis reveals that temporal conceptualizations of fit vary in terms of change process (transitional, developmental, transformational), level of aggregation (situational vs. baseline level), and temporal frame (clock time vs. psychological time), all of which divide the temporal fit literature in significant ways. Furthermore, our analysis shows that progress in the temporal fit domain has been confined by five major obstacles: An emphasis on selection and socialization processes, a narrow focus on the between-person level of analysis, preoccupation with linear change, a strong interest in normal causation questions, and a lack of attention to misfit. We conclude with a discussion of the research challenges that lie ahead and provide suggestions to tackle these challenges and expand temporal PE fit research in new directions.
