“…At a few localities, Boda mounds rest on Kullsberg mounds, the two mounds being separated by only a thin succession of the Fjäcka Shale and/or Jonstorp Formation (Jaanusson 1982). Similar two-mound successions appear to be present locally both in the Gotland subsurface and in the mound areas offshore Gotland (Flodén 1980;Tuuling & Flodén 2000). As shown above, the Klasen mounds are in all probability equivalent to the Boda mounds.…”

“…Flodén (1980) mapped the location of more than 100 submarine mounds off western and northern Gotland, and between Gotland and western Estonia, and there are also scores of such mounds in the Gotland and Hiiumaa Island subsurface as well as elsewhere in Estonia (Hints & Meidla 1997). Offshore Gotland, the vast majority of these mounds occur in the lower part of the File Formation but some have been reported from the interval just below the O 4-5 reflector (Flodén 1980;Flodén et al 1994;Tuuling & Flodén 2000), that is, from the Slandrom Limestone in the stratigraphic classification proposed herein. On northern Gotland, the cluster of mounds located 5-10 km NE of Gisslause-1 ( Fig.…”
