The palaeontological site located in the Owadów‐Brzezinki Quarry is one of the most important palaeontological discoveries described in recent years from Poland, where unusually well‐preserved fossils of terrestrial and marine organisms (including ammonites, horseshoe crabs, decapod crustaceans, insects, and remains of various fish and marine reptiles) have been discovered (Błażejowski, ; Błażejowski, Gieszcz, Brett, & Binkowski, ; Błażejowski, Lambers, Gieszcz, Tyborowski, & Binkowski, ; Kin & Błażejowski, , ; Kin, Błażejowski, & Binkowski, ; Kin et al, ; Tyborowski, ).
