Abstract:Electron acceleration is simulated under the superposition of two co-propagating laser beams. The numerical results indicate that the acceleration effect is clearly enhanced when a modulating field with different frequencies is applied. Our results also show that the modulating field should not be too strong or too weak, and the final energy gain is not sensitive to the wave polarization state of the modulating field.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
