Las caricaturas de los arquitectos

Abstract

Los dibujos lúdicos de los arquitectos no han recibido la misma atención que los de arquitectura, a pesar de que permiten profundizar en su personalidad, considerando que siguen utilizando sus armas gráfi cas en los momentos de "descanso del guerrero". Es interesante detenerse en dibujos realizados por arquitectos afi cionados a la caricatura, como Aalto, Le Corbusier, Jacobsen, Siza, Fehn o Sota, esbozados cuando observaban a otros arquitectos con ironía y sensibilidad.Palabras clave: Caricatura, Dibujos lúdicos, Retratos. LAS CARICATURAS DE LOS ARQUITECTOS CARICATURES BY ARCHITECTS .).Artistas como Leonardo -uno de los primeros en distorsionar conscientemente los rasgos humanos-, Bernini, Delacroix, Goya, Toulouse-Latrec (Fig. 2) o Picasso, se dedicaron en algún momento a dibujar caricaturas.Los niños las hacen representando a sus semejantes sin sentido de la proporción ni intención de plasmar fielmente la realidad, en dibujos sintéticos y frescos, centrados en los rasgos que les llaman la atención de las personas aunque, con los años, sus dibujos se acaban perdiendo en detalles que les distraen, evaporándose la soltura e ingenuidad a las que aludía Picasso cuando afirmaba que se había pasado su vida tratando de volver a dibujar como cuando era niño. Dibujo y caricaturaEs evidente que un gran dibujante no tiene por qué ser buen caricaturista ni viceversa. Este último debe ser ante todo un buen observador. Se trata de algo más que exagerar, puesto que implica una capacidad de atención a la fisonomía humana, que consiga captar y representar la esencia del modelo, sus posturas y gestos característicos, definidos con los mínimos rasgos (Fig. 6).En cierto modo, es una simplificación similar a la de los dibujos de viajes, cuando la limitación de la visita obliga a centrarse exclusivamente en las características que definen un edificio o paisaje.
