Laryngocoele: our experince

Abstract

Laryngocoele is an extremely rare condition. Three cases of Laryngocoeles are presented. Two cases had infected laryngocoeles. The diagnosis was done clinically and confi rmed radiologically. No predisposing factor was found except in one case who was a singer by profession and initially presented with stridor which was an unusual presentation. Surgical excision were done in two cases (case 1 and 3)and both the case were symptom free.

Electrochemical Detection of Para‐nitrophenol using Copper Metal Nanoparticles Modified Gold Electrode

“…In the high frequency region the diameter of the observed semicircle (correspond to charge transfer resistance, R CT ) increased from 1.10 3 10 4 W (for bare Au) to 1.35 3 10 4 W (for 4,4'-bpy-Au) which indicates that 4,4'bpy forms a film which blocks or slows down the charge transfer process. The R CT value was decreased remarkably (0.6 3 10 4 W) when CuNPs were attached on the 4,4'-bpy modified gold electrode which in turn, suggests faster electron transfer (less resistance) between the probe and the gold electrode via copper nanoparticles [41]. Both the CV and EIS results are also comparable to similar previous works [37,42] and support the desired electrode modification.…”

“…Before modification, the gold electrode was first cleaned mechanically by polishing with aqueous slurries of aalumina (0.5 mm) on a pad and then electrochemically in 0.5 M H 2 SO 4 until a steady characteristic cyclic voltammogram was obtained. [37] The clean gold electrode was immersed into a 1.0 mM ethanolic solution of 4,4'-bpy for 24 hours. The 4,4'-bipyridine was self-assembled over the gold electrode and form 4,4'-bpy-Au electrode.…”

Laryngocele: Experience at a Tertiary Care Hospital of Eastern India

“…In 1867, Virchow named this affliction ''Laryngocele ventricularis'' to describe an air-filled dilatation of the ventricular saccule. 7 Laryngoceles are usually unilateral and combined. They may present at any age group but are most commonly seen in the fifth to sixth decades.…”
