Laryngeal vibration as a non-invasive neuromodulation therapy for spasmodic dysphonia

Abstract: Spasmodic dysphonia (SD) is an incurable focal dystonia of the larynx that impairs speech and communication. Vibro-tactile stimulation (VTS) alters afferent proprioceptive input to sensorimotor cortex that controls speech.
