Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a large scale network with from dozens to thousands tiny devices. Using fields of WSNs (military, health, smart home e.g.) has a large-scale and its usage areas increasing day by day. Secure issue of WSNs is an important research area and applications of WSN have some big security deficiencies. Intrusion Detection System is a second-line of the security mechanism for networks, and it is very important to integrity, confidentiality and availability. Intrusion Detection in WSNs is somewhat different from wired and non-energy constraint wireless network because WSN has some constraints influencing cyber security approaches and attack types. This paper is a survey describing attack types of WSNs intrusion detection approaches being against to this attack types.

As wireless sensor network is resource-constrained, reliability and security of broadcasted data become major issue in these types of network. In order to overcome security and integrity issues, a secure authentication and integrity technique is proposed. In this technique, shared keys are used for providing authentication. Here, mutual authentication technique allows the sender and recipient to share a common key matrix as an authentication key. Both sender and recipient chose a random noise matrix and verification is done based on hamming weight. To increase authentication and integrity, a hybrid offline and online signcryption technique is proposed which is a cryptographic method that satisfies both the function of digital signature and public key encryption in a logical single step. By simulation results, we show that the proposed technique provides security in terms of increased packet delivery ratio and reduced compromised communications.

Wireless sensor networks have made great progress in recent years in every aspect of our life. To extend their range of application and provide a further effective option for remote surveillance, unmanned aerial vehicles have been gradually introduced into sensor networks, due to their advantages of flexibility, mobility, and ease of realization. Despite the success of various applications and studies in this new field, unmanned aerial vehicle-wireless sensor network still faces many open challenges, such as the unmanned aerial vehicle capable system framework, land-wireless sensor network management, and unmanned aerial vehicle mission planning strategies. In the article, we propose a cooperative framework for unmanned aerial vehicle-wireless sensor network, which is composed of sensor nodes, fixed-group leaders, and a unmanned aerial vehicle-Sink, in which a three-layer hierarchical network is formed. A land-wireless sensor network k-means driven grouping approach is then presented, which considers the communication performance, the position, and other factors. Additionally, a simulated annealing algorithm is employed to detect the optimal flight trajectory according the ground wireless sensor network architecture. Finally, the proposed approach is compared to other related approaches, and the results have shown better performance of our proposal in terms of energy consumption, flying time, and other relevant evaluation criteria.
