Large-Scale Data Streaming in Fog Computing and Its Applications

Abstract: The emerging trends in fog computing have increased the interests and focus in both industry and academia. Fog computing extends cloud computing facilities like the storage, networking, and computation towards the edge of networks wherein it offloads the cloud data centres and reduces the latency of providing services to the users. This paradigm is like cloud in terms of data, storage, application, and computation services, except with a fundamental difference: it is decentralized. Furthermore, these fog syste… Show more

“…Figure 1 shows the fog-cloud architecture for smart homes. The fog computing architecture is divided into three layers [7]: The end device (IoT) layer contains the end devices such as smart phones, computers, vehicles, smart equipment, wearables, and smart home appliances. The second layer is the fog layer (middle layer), which includes fog devices such as gateways, routers, switches, and workstations.…”

“…Symmetry of boudinaged clasts too depends on competency contrast between the matrix and clast in some cases, and on the degrees of slip of inter-boudin surfaces and pure shear [41]. Generally, the boudins in the Neem ka thana belt are non oriented, symmetrical, and modified and complex structures [42] [43], hence do not help as direct shear sense indicators, and comparable with the bulk shear sense. However few instances of conjugate shears depicting both dextral and sinistral sense of shearing have been observed.…”

“…The authors also working on the authentication and secure data transfer using the concept of end-to-end encryption for Fog-IoT nodes. Sharma and Anusha [102] proposed a large-scale data streaming in fog computing and its applications presented the method for large scale data streaming architecture and its many application in the fog computing environment. The authors have worked on processing a large amount of data at local nodes on the different types of hardware resources as per their availability.…”
