Large Deflections of Inextensible Cantilevers: Modeling, Theory, and Simulation

Abstract: A recent large deflection cantilever model is considered. The principal nonlinear effects come through the beam's inextensibility-local arc length preservation-rather than traditional extensible effects attributed to fully restricted boundary conditions.
