Laparoscopic Sigmoidopexy for Acute Sigmoid Volvulus – A Case report with Review of Literature

Abstract: Sigmoid volvulus is the most common type of colonic volvulus and occurs when a portion or whole of the sigmoid colon twists around its blood supply. In sigmoid volvulus, this occurs at the base of the mesentery.
