“…There have been several reports showing the perioperative outcomes of LRT. In the larger reported series of LRT, 8,9,10,11 the mean operation time (range 232-349 min) and blood loss (range 50-332 mL) were similar to those seen in our work. In addition, Ebisawa et al reported three patients (3/54), and Vieira et al reported nine (9/42) who were converted to hysterectomy.…”

“…10,11 Intraoperative bladder and fallopian tube injury, blood transfusion, postoperative abnormal menstruation, urinary dysfunction, lymphocele, and cerclage erosion were reported in these studies. 8,9,11 Comparatively speaking, our work seemed to be noninferior to these studies or even achieved better surgical outcomes, with a short operation time (median 265.5 min) and less intraoperative blood loss (median 20 mL). The postoperative hospital stay was 6 days, which was not short for minimally invasive surgery, but it should be noted that this was attributed to the psychological characteristics of Chinese patients.…”

“…Kim et al reported that in 32 patients with an average 1.7 cm tumor size treated with LRT, the mean operative time was 290 minutes (120-520 minutes), loss of blood 332 ml (50-1000 ml), and no recurrence or death after 31 months follow-up. 61 Billard et al reported similar results in terms of intraoperative complications of LRT: average operative time of 240 min and 100 ml blood loss. 62 With robotic techniques, blood loss even reached < 100 ml, as reported by Nick et al 63 Current indications for radical trachelectomy are developed for tumors measuring ≥ 2 cm.…”

“…Some of our most extensive procedures can be performed via MIS. Delicate and precise procedures such as fertility-sparing radical trachelectomies or parametrectomies have been performed via advanced laparoscopy and robotics [46,47]. Even the largest, most extensive procedures have met a MIS approach.…”
