“…Skills developed while learning LARVH will be readily applicable to radical trachelectomy and indeed may even be used for the management of stage two endometrial carcinoma. Published series imply that LARVH may be a valid alternative in endometrial carcinoma 19,20 especially in obese women with co‐morbidities. Tozzi et al 21 found morbidity following LARVH to be decreased compared with open in women with BMI greater than 30, diabetics, hypertensives and those with cardiorespiratory failure.…”

“…Another study has shown that both laparoscopic and laparotomy groups were similar with regard to their characteristics such as age, BMI, and surgical FIGO staging. [9] Obese patients or patients whom are at risk of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism will benefit from this approach as the incisions were small and less painful and most patients will ambulate early. However, there are some conditions that may warrant extra caution before deciding for laparoscopic surgery such as patients with underlying chronic lung conditions with restricted lung function or morbidly obese with obstructive sleep apnea.…”

“…Postoperative complications were more frequent in laparotomy group mainly related to abdominal wall incision events. [9] Laparotomy group of the patient is at risk of higher morbidity related to larger wounds, i.e., blood loss and infections. Larger incision wound needs more time to heal and it is more painful and more susceptible to infections.…”

“…The vaginal cavity has been used as a conduit for extraction of gall bladder, gastric tumors, rectal tumors, and nephrectomy during transabdominal laparoscopy . A transvaginal laparoscopic approach has been used for hysterectomy in people . We are unaware of reports of OVH using a transvaginal laparoscopic approach in dogs.…”
