Laparoscopic anterior resection in a patient with situs inversus – a video vignette

Abstract: A 40-year-old woman with long-standing faecal incontinence and occasional symptoms of obstructive defaecation was investigated using anorectal physiology tests (which demonstrated poor internal anal sphincter tone and poor external anal sphincter pressure responses) and endoanal ultrasound studies (which demonstrated an anterior sphincter defect).
