Language rights

Abstract: Migration creates linguistic pluralism within immigrant‐receiving states, and migrants frequently encounter linguistic barriers upon entry and resettlement into new societies. Immigrant‐receiving states therefore confront the need for a language policy, to address utilitarian communication challenges, and to help ensure social cohesion in the face of demographic change.
