The research were to analyze the addressing terms used in Indonesian society relating to the World-Englishes movement and to analyze the process of the World-Englishes movement through the use of the addressing terms. Therefore, the research aimed to describe the movement process, especially in Indonesian society, by looking at how the students addressed the lecturers. The descriptive qualitative approach was applied by having an interview with eight universities in Indonesia and the chatting activities between the students and the lecturers. The postcolonial theory was used to show the ownership of English. The research concludes that some diction is only understood by Indonesian people speaking English. Therefore, those terms of addressing exclusively belong to the Indonesian language. However, it can be an encouraging signal that English belongs to not only the inner circle but also the expanding circle.

very age group and generation uses different lingo, jargon, and forms of communication in casual conversations. These lingos could be introduced by the fashions, significant events, radio shows, movies, TV shows, songs, and literature of their time, among many other devices. Additionally, technology has changed some words, adding new ones that are more inventive and simpler to type. The study aimed to analyze the linguistic meaning of "Sana All" used by the Grade 11 Senior High School students in Cotabato City National High School – Annex (Buaya-Buaya Site). Colaizzi’s phenomenological method of inquiry was employed in this study. The researcher utilized the Focal Group Discussion (FGD) in gathering data. The study's findings revealed that the phrase "Sana All" is used by student participants in Social Media, School, Home, and the Real World. The phrase connotes admiration, appreciation, wishing for something to happen, and strengthening relationships with others. Various meanings were generated depending on the communication setting. The researcher concluded that students use the phrase "Sana All" in various communication settings. They use this phrase when wishing, admiring, appreciating, and strengthening relationships with others. Finally, the researcher produced a linguistic concept on the teaching strategies on pragmatics and semantics where the teacher can adopt the trendy phrase to be included when teaching the linguistic concept of pragmatics and semantics.

The COVID-19 pandemic affects almost all aspects of life, including social and language aspects. One of the phenomena of language change is the emerging of new words during COVID-19. Taken from a linguistic perspective, this research aims to analyze the new words created during COVID-19, to analyze their meaning of the new words, and how they affect human social life. The method used in this research is discourse analysis using a descriptive qualitative research design. The researchers collected these new English words from social media, books, articles, and news. Findings reveal that there are nineteen new English words created during COVID-19. These new words are now very popular on social media and are used in general conversation. In addition, it suggests that these new words have profoundly affected our social life and also the teaching and learning process of English.
