Landing Zone Identification Using A Hardware-accelerated Deep Learning Module

Abstract: This work develops a deep learning-based autonomous Landing Zone (LZ) identification module for a Vertical TakeOff and Landing (VTOL) drone using colored Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) point cloud data.
