“…This is the result of tremendous cooperation and support by a large number of organizations including: Several researchers at The Ohio State University participated in a long-term study aimed at characterizing the physical, chemical, mineralogical and engineering properties of dry and wet FGD material and its land application , 1998, Wolfe and Cline, 1995, 1999a, 1999b). An extensive review of the state of the art for the characterization and utilization of FGD materials was performed , 1998, Dick et al, 1999a included optimum moisture content, density, compressive strength, compressibility, permeability, and swelling potential.
