$$\Lambda $$-Configuration and embedding

Abstract

An arc in Λ-configuration between a pair of support planes travels from one plane to another and back. We explore questions of existence and uniqueness of such pairs, their position with respect to each other, and their number when there is more than one pair of support planes with Λ-configuration. This configuration appears frequently in curve-covering problems and here we find new applications.
