Abstract: Arthritogenic alphaviruses, including chikungunya virus (CHIKV), Mayaro virus (MAYV), Ross River virus (RRV), and O’nyong nyong virus (ONNV) are emerging and reemerging viruses that cause disease characterized by fever, rash, and incapacitating joint swelling.
