Labour analgesia; Molecular pathway and the role of nanocarriers: a systematic review

Abstract: Labour is considered to be one of the most painful procedures in human experience. The most effective technique for pain relief during labour is neuraxial labour analgesia which provides analgesia without maternal or fetal sedation. Genetic predisposition may be of importance for pain perception and women experience varying degrees of pain in labour. Genetic variations in opioid receptor (OPR) genes may influence the response to epidural opioid analgesia during labour. The single-nucleotide polymorphism, A118G… Show more

“…Based on our findings, niosomal DFX showed a safer profile in normal human cells compared to cancerous cells (higher IC50). This is promising because, nowadays, nanotechnology-based strategies are focused on limiting the adverse drug side effects of drugs on healthy cells/tissues. , Meanwhile, in cancerous cells, niosomal DFX exhibited a much desirable cytotoxic activity than free DFX, indicated by lower IC50 in both cell lines. Among the cancerous cells, MCF7 cells were more sensitive to encapsulated DFX (IC50 = 3.018 and 5.041 μg/mL for MCF7 and Hela cells, respectively).…”

“…Smart syringe controls needle position and insertion using force sensor, linear actuator (load cell) and CPU as shown in Figure 2 and equations ( 1)-(3). [9][10][11] At this time, when the needle of the smart syringe passes through the skin, the force sensor (pressure sensor, F ps ) senses the pressure (friction of force, F fr ) because of the high resistance to the density (m) of the epidermis, and then transmits the data to the CPU. The CPU transmits a control command signal (current) to the actuator.…”

“…Nanotechnology has multiple applications with a scientific impact; however, the underlying pathways in interaction of NMs with biological systems at a molecular level still remain to be elucidated. These controversies raise concerns for utilizing nanoscale particles in targeted cancer therapies (Warheit 2010;Setyawati et al 2013b;Sheervalilou et al 2020;Changizi et al 2020;Sheervalilou et al 2021b;Shakeri-Zadeh et al 2020;Sheervalilou et al 2021a;Shirvalilou et al 2021;Kafshdooz et al 2019).…”
