Laboratory studies of Vacuum Ultra-Violet (VUV) emission spectra of heavy element ions

Abstract: Reliable spectroscopic data are needed for interpretation and modeling of observed astrophysical plasmas. For heavy element ions, which have complex spectra, experimental data are rather incomplete.
