“…During the study period, we have not encountered any or similar problems with the use of oxytocin for labor induction. On the contrary, De Abajo et al, Roungsipragarn et al, and Kramer et al have reported that regardless the substance used, pharmacologic induction of labor is associated with an increased risk of postpartum DIC or AFE [1,2,5]. In their early report [2], Roungsipragarn et al have used oxytocin, after dinoprostone insertion for labor augmentation which resulted with AFE and maternal death, and they have commented that one has to be extra careful when both dinoprostone and oxytocin were used.…”
