“…Lab practicums are often used to help students better understand complex and abstract information that is difficult to portray in lectures alone (Bayrak, Kanli, & Kandil-Ingec, 2006). For pre-service health care professionals, lab experiences provide hands-on opportunities to apply learning to clinical settings and to hasten familiarity with using clinical instruments, administering assessments, and psychomotor skills needed to safely and effectively work with clients (Fell, Borland, & Lynne, 2012).
