“…De fait, les travaux recensés sur ce sujet ont surtout porté sur l’état de santé et la qualité de vie des aînés résidant en Ontario qui, par ailleurs, concentre moins de quatre pour cent de la population francophone du pays (Forgues et al, 2011; Statistique Canada, 2011). À l’échelle du Nouveau-Brunswick, hormis nos propres contributions (Dupuis-Blanchard, Simard, Gould et Villalon, 2011; Simard, Dupuis-Blanchard et Villalon, 2011), il n’existe pas, du moins à notre connaissance, de chercheurs qui se sont attardés aux enjeux et aux défis du maintien à domicile en milieu rural fragile nommément dans un contexte linguistique minoritaire (Mallon, 2011). Parce qu’elle se retrouve en contexte francophone minoritaire, qu’elle est particulièrement affectée par le vieillissement démographique et qu’elle est en proie à une forte dévitalisation, la localité d’Acadieville, située au nord-est du Nouveau-Brunswick, a été retenue comme terrain d’analyse.…”
