La naturaleza de las articulaciones regionales en México a través del tiempo

Abstract

El ensayo expone algunas relaciones regionales a través del tiempo que han definido las características de los espacios subnacionales, se subrayan las articulaciones exógenas y endógenas que han moldeado la vida de diferentes territorios en México. La discusión gira en torno al uso y gestión de recursos naturales como el agua y los bosques, pero además se toman en cuenta otras variables relacionadas con las instituciones, la historia, economía, política y cultura. Mediante el análisis de estas articulaciones es posible entender la naturaleza de la diversidad de escenarios regionales en México, e incluso, esta variedad se ha reforzado a pesar de las constantes iniciativas homogeneizadoras de los respectivos gobiernos en turno. Dicha tendencia es coincidente con lo manifestado en otros países latinoamericanos, debido a que confluyen de manera compleja una serie de variables comunes que interactúan a nivel regional. El reconocimiento de la complejidad en la articulación regional es un punto de partida importante para entender la dinámica del crecimiento económico en América Latina, éste último a veces ha sido limitado por determinismos geográficos e institucionales, pero lo anterior no significa que sean insuperables.<br>The essay presents some regional relationships over time, that have defined the characteristics of sub-national spaces, it highlights the exogenous and endogenous articulations that have shaped the lives of different territories in Mexico. The discussion evolves around the use and management of natural resources like water and forests, but also take into account other variables related to institutions, history, economics, politics and culture. Through analysis of these linkages is possible to understand the nature of the diversity of regional scenarios in Mexico, and even, this variety has increased despite the continued efforts of the respective governments to homogenizing the spaces. This trend is consistent with other experiences Latin America, due to a complex confluence of a number of common variables that interact at the regional level. The recognition of complexity in the regional integration is an important starting point for understanding the dynamics of economic growth in Latin America, the latter has sometimes been limited by geographical and institutional determinism, but this does not mean they are insurmountable

Overview of Research on Sustainable Agriculture in Developing Countries. The Case of Mexico
