Traditional popular festivals are windows through which one can learn about the cultural compositions of the populations that celebrate them. Through their study, it is possible to observe the construction of cultural identity, the ceremonial dimensions and the logics of learning certain participatory codes, among other aspects. In this sense, folkloristic products derived from solid festive manifestations, as is the case of the Semana Santica of Mompox (little holy week of Mompox), in Colombia, stand as a tool for the protection and systematic continuity of traditions thanks to the circular flow of information for those who expressively benefit from the festive celebrations in that region.The main objective of this article is to analyze in depth the phenomenon of the Semana Santica as part of the process of transformation of traditions, taking into account how its intergenerational logics of transmission of ritual codes, among which is music, configure a mechanism of systematic protection of the celebration of Holy Week.The analysis of this investigation is carried out, in first level, by means of a descriptive methodology of the medullar aspects that compose the Holy Week. To this procedure is integrated the theoretical apparatus that is derived from the celebration as a category of study of the social and humanistic sciences, and it is complemented with reflections on the mechanisms of learning of the codes that compose this folkloristic phenomenon.From these reflections, we observe as a result the way in which the children's participatory sector learns the religious ceremonial dimension, but also how they are initiated in cultural and artistic aspects, such as the practice of music. This, in recent years, has motivated more and more momposino performers to make music their permanent way of life.Las fiestas populares tradicionales son ventanas por las que se pueden conocer las composiciones culturales de las poblaciones que las celebran. A través de su estudio, se puede observar la construcción de la identidad cultural, las dimensiones ceremoniales y las lógicas de aprendizaje de determinados códigos participativos, entre otros aspectos.
