Abstract:The article investigates Swedish translations of French pop songs. The collected material (50 original songs and 50 Swedish cover versions) has been found in the database SMDB (Svensk Mediedatabas) and by using the reference site Discogs. All songs date from the “phonogram era” between the 1930s and the early 2000s.
