Abstract:The intention of this paper lies in contributing to the philosophical discussion regarding the effects of including aesthetic concepts into political activity. Castoriadis' ontological conception of imagination will be exposed and Schmitt's critique of romanticism will be presented, in order to compare the effects of the aestheticization of political action in the authors.
