Abstract: BackgroundMitochondrial dysfunction play a significant role in the patomechanism of several neurodegenerative disorders, including Huntington’s disease. PGC-1α is a master regulator of mitochondrial biogenesis, thus it could serve as a potential therapeutic target in these disorders.
