Abstract: Du viie au xie siècle, les ambassadeurs sont victimes de multiples préjudices lors des contacts diplomatiques de Byzance avec ses voisins, atteintes allant de l’isolement volontaire à l’emprisonnement affiché ou aux violences physiques, entre autres.
