“…It was noticed that if the collective motion within part of the electrons belonging to the atoms in particular crystallographic positions was treated as "free electrons" (i.e. utilizing the elementary formula for plasmon energy excitation in free electron gas applied earlier by Srivastava et al [5,6]) it gives very good agreement with the experimentally obtained positions of the K b satellites. Basically, the same idea was exploited in the present paper: the number of electrons hypothetically participating in collective excitations was evaluated from the positions of the satellites.…”
