Kuzey Lydia'daki̇ Thyateira'nin Erken Dönem Yerleşi̇mi̇: 'Hastane Höyüğü' Kazisi

Abstract: Kuzeydoğu-güneybatı yönünde 355 m., doğu-batı yönünde ise 360 m. boyutlarında ve yaklaşık 10 m. yüksekliğindedir. Yayınlarda höyüğün Hellenistik dönemde Thyateira kentinin akropol sahası olarak kullanıldığı, Roma döneminde ise tümünün ya da en azından bir bölümünün nekropol alanı olduğu öne sürülmektedir. Devam eden kazılarda çok sayıda mezar açığa çıkarılsa da mezar armağanları tarihleme için yetersizdir.
