This article aims to present the results of the author's analysis of various literature on the legal awareness of business actors in certifying halal products in Indonesia. Throughout 2018-2023, based on the author's search on the scholar.google.com page, with the keywords "legal awareness; businessmen; and halal certificates," there are 145 studies featuring the subject of this study. Even so, only two studies show that business actors' legal awareness can be categorized as good legal awareness, and the remaining research shows poor legal awareness of business actors in various regions in Indonesia. This research is a literature study; thus, the research data is secondary data. After collecting relevant research data, then grouping and reducing the literature, which is only published on sinta-accredited journal pages, the research results show the level of legal awareness of business actors regarding the obligation of halalcertified products is shallow. This is because business actors need to fulfill the four elements of legal awareness, from the aspects of legal knowledge, legal understanding, and legal attitudes to patterns of legal behavior.
