Krankenhaus-Routinedaten zur externen Qualitätssicherung?

Abstract: Possible causes for the results might be divergent motivations for data collection or restrictions in data collection. It remains unclear which method properly reflects the true status. Selected indicators (e. g. obstetric trauma), however, are suitable to be substituted by hospital administrative data.

“…Effective 01 July 2018, the HAC policy was introduced in Australia as a pay-for-performance scheme to incentivise prevention of complications related to hospitalisation through discontinued activity-based funding reimbursements (Independent Hospital Pricing Authority, 2018). In keeping with comparable HAC policy specifications in Europe (Drösler, 2011; Maass et al, 2011) and North America (Peasah et al, 2013), this framework utilises ICD-10-AM codes applied to admission episodes (Michel et al, 2009; Shepheard et al, 2019). The HAC funding approach incorporates a risk-adjustment model that assigns patient episodes with a complexity score using logistic regression to determine the magnitude of withheld hospital remuneration for individual HAC-coded hospital encounters (Independent Hospital Pricing Authority, 2022).…”
