Konsep Ekklesiologi menurut Perspektif Alkitab dan Implementasinya bagi Orang Kristen

Abstract

This paper focuses on ecclesiology or the church on the basis of the biblical text of Matthew 16:18. This topic was raised by the author because there is still no uniform understanding of when the church is present, Does it start in the Old Testament or the New Testament era? Because there are still many opposing groups who think the church has stood starting from the Old Testament. While different groups instead disapprove of the church standing in Old Testament times. The author uses qualitative methods with an approach to literature studies and exposition in the text of Matthew 16:18. The result of the description of the findings of this study is that the Church is a divine institution established by Christ on earth. The Church or ecskelesia begins in the NT because it was built and formed by the divine power of Christ's resurrection. Therefore, without the death and resurrection of Christ, ekklesia as a church cannot be formed. Therefore the church belongs to Christ, not to the or the work of a particular spiritual or personal organization.Abstrak: Tulisan ini berfokus menguraikan perihal eklesiologi atau gereja dengan dasar teks kitab suci dari Matius 16:18. Topik ini diangkat oleh penulis karena masih tidak seragamnya pemahaman perihal kapan gereja hadir, apakah dimulai dari era Perjanjian Lama atau era Perjanjian Baru? Sebab masih banyak kelompok-kelompok yang berseberangan berpandangan gereja sudah berdiri dimulai dari Perjanjian Lama. Sementara kelompok yang berbeda sebaliknya tidak menyetujui gereja berdiri pada masa Perjanjian Lama. Penulis menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur dan eksposisi pada teks Matius 16:18. Hasil uraian pada temuan kajian ini adalah Gereja adalah lembaga ilahi yang didirikan oleh Kristus di bumi. Gereja atau ekkelsia dimulai dari PB karena dibangun dan dibentuk oleh kuasa Ilahi kebangkitan Kristus. Karena itu tanpa kematian dan kebangkitan Kristus, maka ekklesia sebagai gereja tidak dapat terbentuk. Karena itu gereja adalah milik Kristus, bukan kepunyaan atau hasil karya dari sebuah organisasi rohani atau pribadi tertentu.
