Konferencia vo Wannsee – filmové spracovanie vs. dostupné fakty

Abstract

The main aim of the study is to clarify the issue of using audiovisual medium as an educational aid. A hybrid film genre docudrama is the medium that we focus our attention on. The intermingling of documentary conventions with resources of fiction is one of the main characteristics of docudrama. The film The Final Solution: The Wannsee Conference (1984) re-enacts a significant episode of World War II known as The Wannsee Conference. Using the qualitative content analysis method, we compared content elements of the film with historical facts. We tried to examine whether the film The Wannsee Conference can be used as an educational aid for viewers without knowledge of the historical context.
