“…These parameters solely enter the composition of d k,l h as can be seen in Eq. (13). Due to T iα k ∝ t iα only f -orbitals for which t ni is finite are involved and the relative amount of these individual orbitals is controlled by the strength of the coupling t ni /V i .…”

“…Stable magnetic bound states induced by charge neutral substitution of single Ce by La are expected to exist in systems whose parent compound shows Kondo insulating behavior [18]. However, in experiments [11][12][13][15][16][17] with a finite hole concentration x these local bound states haven't been observed so far since long range interactions between the bound states, which are already present at the lowest experimentally accessible x (for example x = 0.006 in (Ce 1−x La x ) 3 Bi 4 Pt 3 [11]), lead to the formation of a very narrow Kondo-hole band in the hybridization gap.…”

“…On the hybridization strength -total electron concentration, |V | -n plane, w f is significantly enlarged in the three distinct regimes, which we identify respectively as the mixed-valence, Kondo/almost Kondo insulating, and the Kondo-lattice regimes (when f -electron concentration is close to the half-filling, i.e., when n f → 1). These physically distinct regimes are frequently discussed and identified in various experiments 2,11,[62][63][64][65][66] and in theory 19,33,67,68 . The structure of the paper is as follows.…”

“…The resistivity and susceptibility measurements show that the critical concentration x c between the Kondo insulator and the metallic state is 0.12 for the CeRhSb 1 À x Sn x series [7] and 0.06 for CeRh 1 À x Pd x Sb series [8]. For Ce 1 À x La x RhSb the gap is quenched when the La concentration is 0.05-0.1 [9] or 0.02-0.04 [10]. This discrepancy could be probably attributed to sample preparation process, the existence of ferromagnetic clusters was postulated in the latter report.…”
