Drawing on the concept of organisational behaviour, this research augments the concepts of social capital theory and organisational culture with one pioneering precursor and mediator, the sense of well-being, to develop an integrative understanding of the factors affecting individuals' knowledge-sharing behaviour within the more complex context of the virtual organisation of Taiwanese Non-governmental Organisations (NGOs). A field survey of 131 employees from the selected virtual organisation was analysed using Structural EquationModeling (SEM) to examine the outcomes empirically. Our research offers a persuasive body of evidence supporting the notion that increasing employees' sense of well-being can successfully form a bridge that can connect social capital tendency, organisational culture and employees' knowledge-sharing behaviour. Surprisingly, and contrary to common belief, the integrated model shows that social capital tendency seems to play a more important role than organisational culture in affecting employees' sense of well-being within the virtual organisation in a Chinese cultural context. Consequently, this research reveals the subtle interplay of employees' sense of well-being, social capital tendency, organisational culture and knowledge-sharing behaviour, while the in-depth analysis provides strong support for knowledge management research and practice.

Aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency for offshore platform project scheduling, a multiagent collaborative scheduling model based on the analysis of distributed offshore platform project scheduling was proposed. The functional definitions and internal structure of agents in the proposed system were analyzed. Moreover, in order to explore the cooperative way of agents, communication mechanism was presented and a negotiation model was elaborated. Then, system architecture and hardware architecture were constructed to lay a foundation to develop the collaborative scheduling system. Finally, an intelligent algorithm based on Bayesian method was designed to verify the negotiation model and a prototype system was developed to test the feasibility and rationality.

We present a sharing-oriented service selection and scheduling approach capable of finding a trade-off between requirement satisfaction degree, service utilization rate and service sharing cost for limited quantities and capacities of available services. In traditional service selection approaches, each customer requirement is independently satisfied by optimally selecting a set of candidate service resources. However, in real-life service scenarios, it is usual for multiple customers to raise their requirements simultaneously, and available services need to be allocated between them. Especially, when available services are limited in both quantity and capacity, a traditional "first-come-first-serve" strategy would lead to a low service utilization rate, and some requirements cannot be satisfied at all (i.e., a low requirement satisfaction degree). Our approach makes use of the feature that some services can be shared by several customer requirements. Specifically, a virtualized service resource consisting of multiple candidate services is constructed and scheduled to satisfy multiple customer requirements simultaneously. Our approach searches for the global optimization on requirement satisfaction degree, service utilization rate, and service sharing cost. We build a mathematical model for this multiobjective optimization problem and propose a nested genetic algorithm mixed with a greedy strategy. Experiments in an ocean transportation service setting are conducted and our approach is compared with traditional approaches to validate its effectiveness.
