Knowledge graph analysis and visualization of AI technology applied in COVID-19

Abstract: With the global outbreak of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) all over the world, artificial intelligence (AI) technology is widely used in COVID-19 and has become a hot topic. In recent 2 years, the application of AI technology in COVID-19 has developed rapidly, and more than 100 relevant papers are published every month. In this paper, we combined with the bibliometric and visual knowledge map analysis, used the WOS database as the sample data source, and applied VOSviewer and CiteSpace analysis tools to carry … Show more

“…However, as the virus is still mutating, it is particularly important to block the route of transmission to prevent the further spread of the epidemic. keywords' co-occurrence was COVID-19, which was in line with other studies (12,14). It showed that the research on COVID-19 was still a hot topic in academic circles.…”

“…Since the discovery of SARS-CoV-2, bibliometric analysis has been widely used in many aspects of the COVID-19 epidemic, such as vaccines (12,13), AI technology (14), and public health surveillance systems (15). Similarly, it is widely used in clinical departments, such as rheumatology (16), medical imaging (17), diabetes (18), orthopedics (19), and urology (20).…”

“…For instance, Huang et al used CiteSpace and VOSviewer software to analyze emerging trends and research foci in the gastrointestinal microbiome, which showed that gut microbiota, inflammatory bowel disease, probiotics, irritable bowel disease, and obesity are hotspots in gut microbiome research, whereas bile acids, obesity, and myxobacteria represent new research foci (6). Furthermore, Wu et al conducted a knowledge graph analysis and visualization of applied Artificial Intelligence techniques in the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, presenting researchers and practitioners with perspectives on the challenges and limitations of Artificial Intelligence applications in COVID-19 and facilitating research on Artificial Intelligence applied to COVID-19 (7). A different research group mapped knowledge structures and thematic trends in rheumatoid arthritis osteoporosis, providing a field with potential research frontiers and hot directions (8).…”
