“…Notably, strategies aimed at improving communication and collaboration between lay emergency responders and the professional resuscitation system represent a crucial avenue for saving more lives and empowering lay individuals to perform self-treatment in emergency situations. In alignment with our study, other research [18,19] has shown that 56.9% of medical graduates possessed good knowledge of basic life support, with 94% having received training in basic life support, advanced life support and exposure to populations requiring basic life support. These factors were significantly correlated with a strong grasp of basic life support, consistent with our study's findings.…”

“…Although it is not always long to work describing the large number of cardiac arrest cases that have been treated, the longer a nurse works will build her confidence in facing 587 various kinds of difficult circumstances, such as cardiac arrest. Some studies also mention that almost half of newly graduated nurses have low confidence in performing CPR (Tadesse, Seid, Getachew, & Ali, 2022). This also explains why nurses who have just worked have low selfconfidence.…”

“…In the Swiss study conducted in 2022 it was concluded that implementing corrective measures to improve communication, restore motivation, and ultimately increase BLS knowledge among medical and dental students should be considered [19]. The results of a study performed at the Dilla University in 2021 showed that health sciences students attending graduate classes during the study period had unsatisfactory knowledge of BLS, and the introduction of BLS training to the study curriculum was recommended [20]. Therefore, it can be concluded that the authors of numerous reports from around the world agree that although the topic of BLS has been addressed many times before, a continuous effort should be made to raise the awareness in the field, improve people's skills and educate them on the topic, which is especially important for health-related students.…”
