Abstract: The term abdominal surgery broadly covers surgical procedures that involve opening the abdomen. After abdominal surgeries, patients are at the risk of developing complications. The common postoperative complications after the abdominal surgery include pneumonia, deep vein thrombosis and surgical site infections.
