Abstract:Rates of performed caesarean sections (CS) have increased globally with 18.6% of all births occurring by CS. A range of 6%-27.2% has been seen in the least and most developed regions. In Zimbabwe, CS deliveries accounts for 6 % of all births against a WHO recommended 10-15% preferred limit.
