This article aimed to analyze, through a qualitative study (i.e., semi-structured interview), the opinions and knowledge of fourth-year future teachers at a Spanish public university (University of Granada) regarding training and the need for first aid (FA) at school. With a sample of 70 subjects in their last year of training, our conclusion is that although they are aware of the importance of first aid for their professional development, there is no such training in their careers, and thus they have great difficulty understanding how to react to emergency situations on the job.

Objetivo: identificar na literatura quais as intervenções de educação em saúde de primeiros socorros são utilizadas no contexto escolar. Métodos: Este é um estudo descritivo, como revisão integrativa da literatura, com uma pesquisa realizada nas plataformas LILACS, BDENF, MEDLINE e PubMed, selecionando artigos publicados entre 2009 e 2019, em português, inglês e espanhol, disponíveis para acesso livre e completo, que caracterizaram estudos de intervenção original em escolas com o tema dos primeiros socorros. Resultado: Encontramos 1937 artigos que, após análise dos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, resultaram em 15 artigos na amostra final. Os artigos foram divididos em duas categorias de discussão: ações de educação de primeiros socorros para professores e empregados e ações de educação de primeiros socorros para estudantes. Conclusão: Empregados, professores e estudantes não estão preparados para prestar primeiros socorros nas escolas, e o ensino de primeiros socorros, utilizando diferentes metodologias, melhora significativamente os conhecimentos e competências das pessoas neste contexto. Estes estudos justificam a necessidade de promover a educação em saúde de primeiros socorros nas escolas.
