Knock Recognition System in a PCCI Engine Powered by Diesel

Abstract: The measurement of engine vibrations components is used to identify combustion phases in a single-cylinder PCCI diesel engine in this work. A single channel Knock transducer was used to measure engine vibration caused by combustion pressure forces and knocking tendency. The transducer is used to obtain the engine's frequency spectrum in the temporal domain. Categorization discrete wavelet analysis is used to isolate the observed vibration data. Spectral analysis and filtration of fragmented sections of the sou… Show more

“…These equipment's' accuracy may be affected by the operating conditions and operating environment as this accuracy affects the limiting errors of the measurements. So, the uncertainty of measured and calculated parameters may be estimated by the following equations 1 & 2 [68][69][70]. The precision and uncertainty analysis for different equipment's was calculated and displayed in Table 3.…”

“…This review examines the practical and theoretical effects of biodiesel produced using waste cooking oil [43,44] and hydrodynamic cavitation on the performance metrics used to test compression ignition engines. Biodiesel is gaining popularity around the world because of the grave concerns about energy security and the inadequate nature of fossil fuels [45][46][47]. Numerous nations have proposed various subsidies, incentives, and systems to promote the use of biodiesel [48][49][50][51].…”

“…The production of biofuel from used edible oils, the cultivation and harvesting of algae [15,16], and the fermentation of agricultural residues were among the most important research directions in this regard [17]. In this context, the researchers worked through innovative mathematical and numerical methods in their research with the use of nanometric materials technologies to reach the best performance parameters in internal combustion engine systems [18][19][20][21]. Fossil fuels are considered a non-renewable energy source [22].…”
